It usually takes about 2 weeks for results of blood tests/x-rays to become available. Blood test results are usually available in one week.
Your Doctor will not normally receive letters about your hospital consultation for at least two weeks, often a month or more. If you require a discussion about your test results or hospital visit, please phone first to ensure results are available.
To ensure that all results are received we ask all patients to always check up on their results that they are back, ok, and/or what is to be done next.
To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
